Laurence W. 'Bud' Bennett

Laurence W. "Bud" Bennett, age 101, of Bloomingdale died Thursday, April 4, 2013. Mr. Bennett was born in Butler, NJ, the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Shenise) Bennett. He was a Mechanic and worked for many years at Rhinesmith Garage in Bloomingdale, was a member of the Bloomingdale Fire Department, was a former part time Tax Assessor in the town of Bloomingdale and was also a member of the Passaic County Tax Association. He is survived by his two daughters, Dale Babcock and her late husband Raymond and Nancy Disbrow, a loving sister, Mae Braen and four cherished grandchildren, Lori Martorana, Christopher and Daniel Babcock and Gregory Disbrow. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Laurence was predeceased by his wife Josephine. Viewing hours will be Monday, April 8th,2013, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. The funeral mass will be Tuesday 10:00 am at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler. Burial to follow mass at the 1st Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Plains, NJ.
