Lillian Hunziker

Lillian Hunziker, age 96, of West Milford died Sunday, March 20, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 10, 1925, in Haledon, NJ to Antonetta and Anthony DeFabio. She was married to Charles (Chuck) Hunziker and raised their son Jere Hunziker in Blairstown, NJ. She spent her time volunteering at Newton Hospital and working at the diner for many years. Lil was a devoted mother who loved and enjoyed cooking. She was known for her chicken francese meals and her chocolate chip cookies. In December of 2011 Lil had a stroke that changed her whole life. She has been living at home with Jere and Cheryl following her recovery where she enjoyed sitting on the porch waving to the neighbors yelling "Hi lovey!" and taking walks up and down the street. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her. Lil is survived by her son Jere Hunziker and his wife Cheryl; granddaughter Nicole Vigorita and her husband Andrew; grandson Cody Marienthal and sister Jane Lezott. She was preceded by her brother Anthony DeFabio. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Wednesday 11am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. . There are no gallery images.
