Lillian Croop (Guenter), of Bloomingdale passed away peacefully at her home on September 26 , 2022 two months short of her 102nd birthday. Born in Butler, she attended St. Anthonys School and Butler High School Class of 1938. For many years she worked in an insurance office and at the family business until her retirement at the age of 88. She was parishioner at St. Anthonys Church attending mass daily for many years. She was devoted to her family and was happiest when the house was full and she was in her kitchen preparing a feast for all.
She is survived by her children, her sons, Frank Gorman and wife Anne, Pete Croop and daughter Mary Croop and her companion David Rees, her granddaughter Ava Baumgartner and husband Jason, great grandson Henry Baumgartner and many nieces and nephews. She was affectionately known as Aunt Lil to the children of many of her friends. She was preceded to her final reward by her first husband Frank Gorman, her second husband Bill Croop and her five brothers and sisters, Ernie, Richard, Claire, Emily and Clifford. She never had an unkind word for anyone, and will be missed by all who knew her. We can all be comforted in the knowledge that she is at peace and is reunited with all of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at future date.
