Lloyd Struble, 82, lifelong resident of Bloomingdale, died on December 14, 2012. Mr. Struble was born in Bloomingdale, NJ, the son of the late Robert Clyde and the late Rose Mae (Mathews) Struble. Lloyd was a inspector/mechanic for Aircraft Radio in Boonton, NJ and worked for many years at Whittles Hardware store in Butler before retiring. He was a co founder of the Bloomingdale Women's Soft Ball League, a member of the American Pilots Association, past president of the Tri Boro Men's Soft Ball League and formerly served on the Bloomingdale Board of Adjustments. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Ruth Georgianna (Jobes) Struble, his beloved children, Diane Bush and husband Wayne, Trudy Miller and husband Jack, Brenda Van Put and husband Jim and Lloyd Struble Jr., six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be Sunday, December 16th , 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, N J. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations to the John Theurer Cancer Center, 795 Franklin Ave., Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417 would be appreciated in his memory.
