Lorraine Dore

Lorraine Dore nee Soldati, 88, of Butler, NJ died peacefully in her sleep on July 5th, 2017 at her home. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Patrick, two sisters, Mercedes McGann and Dolores Torre, six children and their spouses, 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sister Helen Mangano. Born and raised in the Bronx, Lorraine moved to Butler with her husband and family in 1965. She was an active parishioner of St Anthonys in Butler for 52 years. Lorraine was president of St Anthonys Rosary Altar Society as well as a volunteer at the parish school in later years. Lorraine was a dedicated employee of both the Kinnelon and Butler school districts, serving in their cafeterias until her retirement in 1993. Her great love through all her years was her family and she delighted in the many travels and events of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine was full of life and always at the center of any family gathering, dancing, singing and enjoying the company of her loved ones.Lorraines wake is on Monday, July 10th from 4 8pm at Morrisons Funeral Home in Butler. Her funeral will be celebrated at 9am on Tuesday, July 11th at St Anthonys and she will be interred immediately thereafter at St Anthonys cemetery in Butler.
