Lorraine M. Batvinskas, age 82, of Butler, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Mrs. Batvinskas was born in Kingston, PA the daughter of the late Martin and the late Helen (Grigaluinas) Barnosky. She graduated from Kingston High School in 1949, and went on to graduate from the Wyoming Seminary in Kingston PA in 1951. Lorraine has been a Butler resident and parishioner of St. Anthony's RC Church since 1960. She worked for the Kinnelon School System for over 40 years holding various titles including Food Service Director, but most recently as a playground aide before retiring. Lorraine was a member of the Columbiettes Counsel 943, since 1964, holding many posts culminating with the position of NJ State President 2005-2007 and was an active member of both the Butler XYZ club, and Bloomingdale senior citizen groups. She is survived by her daughter, Linda A. Close and her husband Scott, a sister Deborah Carver, cousins Patricia Fabricious, Peter Grigor, Cheryl Marsh, and dear nephew's nieces. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, November 19th from 4:00-8:00 PM at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral mass will Wednesday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Church, Butler. Final disposition will be private.
