Lynne R. Anderson

Lynne Anderson was born in Englewood New Jersey on May 29th, 1939. Her parents were Ruth and Edward Powderley. She spent most of her life growing up in Rutherford, New Jersey. I met Lynne while working at Howmedica located in Rutherford, New Jersey and we were great friends. Lynne is survived by two sisters Ruth and Judy and has 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She has 3 sons Robert, Andrew and Ian. Lynne loved dancing as a child and growing up. She was in shows at Rutherford High School and always wanted to dance. She taught me a lot. Lynne loved the Jersey Shore and particularly Point Pleasant beach. Walking on the Jenkinson's boardwalk and laying in the sun by the ocean was her favorite. We spent many days there and I have many fond memories of those days. We also spent time vacationing in Wildwood New Jersey. Another of Lynne's favorite spots. Unfortunately Lynne became stricken with Guillian Barre syndrome about 12 years ago and was paralyzed from the waist down but through treatment she regained about 80% of her strength. Lynne was very active in the Borough of Bloomingdale helping the Senior Citizens and worked with the Beautification Committee to make Bloomingdale a nicer place to live. Many people from Bloomingdale, Rutherford and all over with family will miss her dearly.Viewing hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral will be Friday 6:30pm also at The Morrison Funeral Home. The final disposition will be private.
