Margaret M. “Peg” Hanrahan

Margaret M. “Peg” Hanrahan, age 87, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2023. She was a resident of Kinnelon for over 60 years. Peg was born in Hackensack and raised in Paterson, the daughter of the late Albert Roth and the late Rose (nee Hoffman).

She was the beloved wife of 63 years to James J Hanrahan Jr., who preceded her in death in 2020, the devoted mother to Kathy and Margo, who predeceased her in death in 2016. Peg worked as a school bus driver with Boonton Transport for 15 years before retiring. She had many loves which included crossword and jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and searching for heart shaped rocks while on walks with her daughter, Kathy.

Viewing hours will be Wednesday, August 9th ,2023, from 10:00am-12:00pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A grave side service will be held Wednesday 12:45 at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Burial will follow in the cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Kinnelon Animal Shelter, 118 Kinnelon Rd, Kinnelon, NJ 07405 in her memory.
