Margaret “Margie” Mary Bistromowitz

March 29, 1954 — November 22, 2020

Margaret "Margie" Mary Bistromowitz, 66, passed away peacefully in her home on early Sunday morning, November 22, 2020. After a Breast Cancer diagnosis in 2013, she fought hard to prove that cancer never wins. She beat cancer by how she lived. Margie was born on March 29, 1954 in Paterson, NJ to the late Nicholas and Theresa Piazza of Butler, NJ. Margie graduated Butler High School in 1972 and has been an active citizen within her community ever since. After attending William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ she worked at Mosler in Wayne, NJ followed by her 20+ years as the beloved Secretary to the Principal at the Richard Butler Middle School in Butler, NJ. Margie was well-loved in her small town of Butler. During her tenure at Richard Butler School, she was actively involved in her Class of 72 Butler High School Reunion committee, the PTA, class Mom activities, her childrens sporting events and volunteering at the Sparta, NJ Elementary School library. There was a simple modesty to Margie that impacted everyone who came in touch with her. Her kindness, and her priority to care for others has had an effect on many who knew her. Her lasting legacy will be her kindness, her smile and her ability to make you feel loved which has left a lasting impression on all. Margie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Brian Bistromowitz of Butler, NJ, Son, Michael Bistromowitz of Boonton, NJ, Daughter Lisa Halliday and her husband Justin Halliday of Sparta, NJ and her 4 beautiful Grandsons, aka her "Bistro Boys", Ethan, Vaughn, Brody and Julian.
