Marianne Iannacone

Marianne Iannacone, age 82, of Butler died on Thursday October 7, 2021. Marianne was born in Frankfurt Germany, the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Eckel) Koeth. She was married to the late John C. Iannacone, formerly of Paterson, for 46 years, they loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. Marianne emigrated from Germany at age 19, proudly became a US citizen while also remaining strongly connected to her German roots and family. Marianne began working at the Butler Library in January 1986 until retirement August 1, 2017. In July 2006, in honor of her 20th anniversary, the Library Board approved naming the new Circulation Desk after her. She enjoyed engaging with patrons, presenting thoughtful exhibits about history and arts, and contributing to the greater Butler community. A lover of nature, Marianne enjoyed walks in the park, flower gardening and feeding her backyard birds. She adored her grandchildren Robert and Rachel and following their creative pursuits. Marianne is predeceased by her brother Manfred Koeth. Marianne is survived by her daughters Diana Lawler and Linda Iannacone, their spouses Daniel Lawler and Jack Turkel and beloved grandchildren Robert and Rachel Ziegler. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends here and in Germany. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be offered also on Monday, 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial Will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ .
