Marie Govertsen

Marie F. (Sisco) Govertsen, age 90, of Andover passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Govertsen was born November 15, 1932 in Pequannock, NJ the daughter of the late Julius and the late Nellie (Alway) Shippacasse.

Marie loved being with her family. She was a former Treasurer of the PAL, Butler, NJ, former Columbiette, a parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church and loved to make ceramics. She is survived by her loving children, James Sisco Jr. and his wife Karen, Stuart Sisco and wife Carol, Stephen Sisco and wife Patricia and Kathy Sisco Nasano, her seven cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Kevin, Kayley, Kyle, Dereck and Alex, a grand niece Julieann McKenna and one great grandchild. Marie was predeceased by her devoted husband, Hank and her dear sister, Kathryn Hackett, and niece Marie Claire Hackett McKenna.

Viewing will be held Thursday, March 16th, 2023, from 4-8pm at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc. 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Friday 11am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
