Marion Elinor Sisco

Marion E. Sisco (Elinor), 88, of Bloomingdale, NJ, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Elinor was born in Butler to the late Emmett and the late Helen (Rodda) Bayles. Elinor worked for Boonton Transport in Butler as a school bus driver and clerk. She also worked for Bell Labs in Whippany as an administrative assistant before retiring. Elinor enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, learning foreign languages, and playing the piano. Elinor is survived by her loving son Michael Sisco and his wife Donna, daughter-in-law Martha Sisco, sisters Virginia Bayles and Linda Bayles, grandchildren Amy Buntzen and her husband Khris, Erin Lavery and her husband Kelley, Rodger Sisco, Adam Smith and his wife Jen, Jennifer Careaga and her husband Larry, and Daniel Smith and his wife Alina. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Elinor was predeceased by her sister Joan Frech of Bloomingdale, and her children Joanie Smith and Martin Sisco. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler. Following visitation a funeral service will be offered at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ .
