Mary A. Franki

Mary A. Franki, age 92, of Pompton Plains, NJ, previously of Elmhurst, NY, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born in Omisji, Yugoslavia, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Mare (Seguljic) Feretich.Mary lived in Elmhurst, NY until 2013, when she relocated to Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains, NJ. She worked as a floor manager for Macys in Elmhurst and then as a clerk employed by the New York State Unemployment Agency. Mary is survived by her loving daughter Ann Marie Skrabonja and her husband Thomas. Her five beloved grandchildren, Beth Ann (Skrabonja) Sulborsky, Suzanne (Franki) Kinsman, and her husband Michael, Rebecca (Franki) Brieding, and her husband Clifford, Andrew Franki and Scott Skrabonja. Mary is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Madeline Franki. She is also survived by eleven adored great grandchildren, Casey, Evan, Etienne, Zachery, Wesley, Gaberiel, Marie Grace, Benjamin, Luka, Christopher and Kylie. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph, a son Joseph Jr., and her sister Helen Livanich. Visitation will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 am at Cedar Crest Chapel, 1 Cedar Crest Drive, Pompton Plains, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM also on Monday, following the visitation at Cedar Crest Chapel. Burial will follow the mass at St. Johns Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY.
