Mary C. Kochka,91, lifelong resident of West Milford, died peacefully on Nov. 23, 2021 at home. Mary is at home with the Lord, her loving husband Bob Kochka , her son Bobby Kochka, her brothers and sisters, and her parents George Gobosack and Agnes (Crum) Gobosack. Mary is remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandma. She was a God-loving woman who cherished and embraced everyone and every part of life. She dedicated herself to serving others as a homemaker for her husband and their family. Mary married her husband Bob at St Joseph's Church in West Milford on October 9th, 1948. For over 70 years wherever you saw Mary you saw Bob and where you saw Bob you saw Mary until the day Bob died on November 19, 2018. They were friends since their grammar school days at Echo Lake School and became lifelong partners in a long and happy marriage Mary and her husband Bob were members of the original West Milford Museum Committee. Each Christmas in December they dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus and greeted children who visited the Museum. The children always found a compassionate North Pole couple in traditional costume ready to listen to all they wanted to say. In February or at other times of the year when President Abe Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd Lincoln were highlighted, Mary and Bob portrayed the famous historic couple. Mary and Bob received the Mary B. Haase ``Lifetime Volunteer Award," in 2009. Besides volunteering and love of the museum, Mary was very involved and dedicated to her faith at St. Joseph's Church. Mary was a part of the Rosary Society, and passion plays, as well as the Church's 225th and 250th year anniversary. Mary is survived by her daughters Catherine M.
