Mary Jean Cole

Mary Jean Cole, age 79, lifelong resident of Butler, died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Cole was born in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late John and the late Marjorie (Norman) Gormley. She retired after 37 years from BAE in Little Falls, NJ, working as an Executive Assistant. Mary Jean was a parishioner of St Anthony's RC Church in Butler and a member of the Columbiettes and a graduate of Butler High School. She is survived by her beloved brother, Robert Gormley and wife Jean, a stepbrother, William Cooper and wife Diana and sisters-in-law Dianne Gormley and Carol Gormley. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and her companion, Alex Brancaccio. Mary Jane was pre-deceased by her husband, Harold Cole, her brothers Jerry Gormley and Jack Gormley and her sister, Joan Brancaccio. A funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11am St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity in her memory.
