Mary Mawhinney

Mary Mawhinney, age 82, of Butler, formerly of Haledon, died Thursday, February 27, 2020. Mrs. Mawhinney was born in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Edward and the late Jean (Miller) Boydell. She worked at Precision Tool in Hawthorne, NJ and J & M Enterprises in Ridgewood, NJ as a bookkeeper before retiring. Mary was very active in the Butler Senior Housing community. She is survived by her beloved children, Barbara Vaitovas, Kathy Gunther, John Mawhinney and Sharon Wallerius and husband Jerry, her loving sister, Kathryn Deeths and husband Herb, her cherished grandchildren, Tara Kessler, Willow Vaitovas, Maya Vaitovas and Danny Mawhinney and her adored great grandchildren, Kyle, Nathan and Ryan. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Mary was pre deceased by her devoted husband, John. Viewing hours will be held Monday, March 2nd, 2020, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be offered Monday 7pm also at The Morrison Funeral Home. The final disposition will be private.
