Matthew Cronin

Matt Cronin (53) died peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 14th. He grew up in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, and graduated from Mountain Lakes High School in 1980. He later attended the County College of Morris and found a lifelong career at Iron Mountain, a leading document management company.Matt leaves his presence and memories with his beautiful children, Kelly and Dana, his mother, Eileen, and four siblings, Janice, Bill, Jean, and Paul along with 8 nieces and nephews, in-laws, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He joins his parents, Bill and Mary Jane, in heaven. He also leaves dear friends who have stood by and with him for years; Jim, his longest and best friend, Michelle, Terrance, Mike, Sandie, and many others. They all had a different and wonderful relationship with Matt that uniquely complimented him.Matt loved his family, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his friends and colleagues, and was a lifelong, devoted fan of the Jets and Mets. His greatest and most personal accomplishments were his children and his career with Iron Mountain which spans the past 20 years. Matt started his career in September of 1995 where he worked in one of the original underground facilities in Rosendale NY. Through the years he worked in most of the NY Metro facilities and held several leadership positions. Most notably as an Operations Manager, where 8 years ago Matt was asked to run the Data Management business for Northern NJ and NYC overseeing two buildings, 50 plus employees, and through his leadership the business grew significantly.Ever the comedian, Matt was always able to find humor in any situation and made us laugh when we needed it most.
