May H. Giancola, 75, of Kinnelon, formerly of Cedar Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and children on December 21. May was a devoted wife and mother, always appreciating the goodness around her. She worked as a tax clerk in Kinnelon for 18 years. May loved to be with her husband, family and friends, to read, and to attend church and bible study. She also loved animals, particularly her dogs Parfait and Dexter, and volunteered at an animal shelter for some years. May is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 53 years, Paul; her beloved mother, Mary Heinkel; her cherished children, Paula (Kevin Kuechler) and Lora Penola (John); her brothers, Lenny Heinkel (Barbara), and Calvin Heinkel; her dear grandchildren, Isabella, Paul, Elizabeth, John, Adam and Jacob; and her sisters-in-law, Alberta Van Zile (Russell) and Clare Watson (Ronald). May was predeceased by her father Robert E. Heinkel and birth mother Joyce Coats, and parents-in-law Angelo and Grace Giancola. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday, December 27, at the Morrison Funeral Home at 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Magnificat Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CatholicTV (PO Box 9196, 34 Chestnut Street, Watertown, MA 02471) or Kinnelon Volunteer Animal Shelter (2 Kiel Avenue #252, Kinnelon, NJ 07405).
