Michael Gluck, 88, of Butler, NJ, passed away Saturday, December 10th, 2011. Born in Elizabeth, NJ Michael was the son of the late Frank Gluck and the late Tessie Dudas. At the onset of World War II, Mike, along with brothers Joe and John, enlisted. Brother Steve, sisters Ann and Mary, kept the homefires burning. After the war, Sergeant Michael Gluck USMC Pacific Theater, married Geraldine Flynn, graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in electrical engineering, and began a lengthy career of classified and top secret civil service. He retired from the U.S. Army Electronics Command Fort Monmouth in 1992 after which he resumed a long time passion of painting still life, for which he attained local notoriety. Mike and Geri are survived by their children, Michael and wife Kathi, Gene and wife Deborah, Jim and wife Mary, Paula Gluck and Rich Wiltshire, Terri Puglise and husband Mike, Allison Perkins-Loriz and husband John, Christine Gauweiler and son-in-law Otto Gauweiler and a loving sister, Mary Thoraldsen. He will be greatly missed by his twelve cherished grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He was also loved by numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased earlier this year by his devoted wife of 60 years, Geraldine. Viewing hours will be on Monday, December 12th , 2011, from 5-9pm at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday 10:30am at St. Anthony RC Church Butler, NJ.
