Michael John Lakawicz

Michael John Lakawicz, age 44, of Bloomingdale, NJ, entered eternal rest, Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Mr. Lakawicz was born in Paterson, NJ, the son of Joseph F. and the late Muriel (Faasse) Lakawicz. He served in the Army during the Grenada war and worked as a Construction Foreman for 20 years. Michael attended public schools in Bloomingdale, High School in Butler, NJ, joined the Army after High School and learned to speak Russian and Spanish during eight years in War College. He is survived by his beloved father Joseph F., his loving siblings, Joseph Lakawicz and Judi Losh, two daughters, Leighanne and Ashley, three adored grandchildren, and his dear fiance, Marylee de Ferrari. Viewing hours will be Friday, July 2nd ,2010, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday 10:00am at St Anthony RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. The final disposition will be held in private.
