Milton 'Mickey' Monro

Milton Monro, Age 88, of Oakland, died Thursday, October 10, 2013. Milton was a member of the New Jersey Education Association and was a physical education teacher for 46 years in the Glen Rock, NJ, School System. Known To most as "Mickey", Coleman school named their gym "The Mickey Monro Gymnasium" after him for all his dedication to the school system. Milton is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley, two sons, Scott Monro and his wife Jodi of Kinnelon and Robert Monro and his companion Gina of Oakland. He is Also survived by three loving grandchildren, Taylor, Alexa and Ashley and nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements were private and entrusted to the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler, NJ. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Franklin Lakes United Methodist Church.
