Nicolo 'Frank' Carona

Nicolo Carona, (Frank), 85, formerly of Towaco, NJ; recently of Las Vegas, Nevada died April 9th 2012. The son of the late Nicola and Antonette Carone, Nicolo also survived his late wife Lina Nistri-Carona, his brothers Frank, Joe, Mike, Al and Louis, and his sisters Mary, Pat, Delores, and Francis. Nicolo served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII in Trieste, Italy and almost 20 years in the U.S. Merchant Marine fleet. In his later years Nicolo alternated between Europe and his home in Las Vegas, NV, cultivating roses in his gardens and enjoying the natural desert region and the attractions around Las Vegas. Visiting hours are Sunday, April 15th, 2012 ,from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A Mass will be held Monday, April 16th at 11:30 am at St. Mary's Parish, Pompton Lakes, NJ, followed immediately by internment at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Butler, NJ.
