Nicolo Onelli

Nicolo Onelli, age 85, of Basking Ridge formerly of Pompton Lakes and Butler, passed away on December 10, 2012. Nicolo is survived by his son, Nicolo J. Onelli, daughter-in-law Jennifer, granddaughters Gabriela and Taylor Louise, step-daughter Theresa Santafiore and by his sister Theresa Georges. Nick served in the US Navy from Oct 2, 1945 - Oct 15, 1948 as Master Mechanic achieving rank of MM3. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 0174 in Wayne, NJ and of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1895 in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Nicolo worked in the construction industry for over 60 years and was a long time member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 and Local 4. He will be buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Butler NJ alongside his loving wife of 25 years, the late Mrs. Patricia M. Onelli.Viewing hours will be held on Thursday, December 13th,2012 from 3pm to 5pm at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Anthony's Church Butler NJ Friday morning 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated toward the American Cancer Society.
