Norma I. DeGraw

Norma I. DeGraw, born on October 10, 1924, in Paterson, New Jersey, gently left us on April 16, 2025, in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. She lived a life rich in love and laughter, a testament to the joy she brought to everyone around her.

Norma was cherished by her family, and her warmth and kindness will always be remembered. She is survived by her loving daughter, Barbara, and her husband, Ronald Burnett; her devoted granddaughters, Stephanie and her husband, Dwayne Baker, as well as Debbie and her husband, Tony Leitao. Norma’s legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Hunter Baker, and Samantha, along with her husband, Tyler Osborn. She was also the proud great-great-grandmother to Jameson and Nathan Osborn, as well as Kyle and Matthew Leitao, each of whom will carry a piece of her heart with them.

Norma's life was filled with wonderful memories, often spent shopping, traveling, and creating joyful moments vacationing in Wildwood, NJ with her beloved family. Each experience was held dear, reflecting her vibrant spirit and love for life.

Not only did she devote herself to her family, but she also uplifted her community by serving as the Past President and District President for the Bloomingdale VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a role in which she took immense pride. Her leadership and compassion inspired many, and her contributions will not be forgotten.

Norma is preceded in death by her cherished husband, Richard Charles DeGraw, whose memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew them both. They met in 1946 and married shortly after on June 16,1946. Their love story started their life long journey together in Bloomingdale, NJ. and is a reminder of the strength that comes from companionship and shared dreams.

A visitation will be held in homage to her lovely spirit on April 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc., located at 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. The following day, her funeral service will take place on April 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, concluding at the same beloved location. Burial to follow at Midvale Cemetery, Wanaque, NJ.

As we honor Norma’s remarkable life, let us remember her for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the laughter she shared. Her legacy is celebrated in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She may be gone from our sight, but her spirit will forever remain with us.
