Norma Van Houten, of Butler, age 93, passes away Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Norma was born in Bloomingdale, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Albert and the late Martha Ann (Card) Crum. She served in the Army during World War II as a registered nurse, was a member of the Butler United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and the VFW in Butler. She worked for Dr. DeForest Chilton in Pompton Plains, NJ for many years as a Registered Nurse before retiring. She is survived by her beloved children Leigh and wife Laurel, Mark and wife Cindy; her loving siblings, Arnold Crum, Richard Crum, Clayton Crum, Wilbur Crum and Vernon Crum, cherished grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of five and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Norma was pre deceased by her devoted husband William, a dear daughter Carol Ann Arnott and a loving brother Chester Crum.Viewing hours will be Monday, May 2, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday at Butler United Methodist Church, 5 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
