Paul J. Scarmazzo, age 79, of Butler, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Mr. Scarmazzo was born in New York, NY the son of the late Charles and the late Alice M. (Wanamaker) Scarmazzo. He served in the Army from 1961 to 1963 and was a member of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Of The Incarnation in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Paul worked as a supervisor for Singer Kearfott Wayne, NJ as well as a Brew Master for High Point Brewery in Butler before his retirement. He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Erika (Hutt) Scarmazzo, his beloved children, Sharon, Cathy and Paul Jr., his dear step children, Angelika and Adolf Stangl, his loving siblings, Lawrence Scarmazzo and wife Rosemary and Charles Scarmazzo and wife Gerd and Joan Handling and husband Bill, nine cherished grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Paul was pre deceased by a brother, Ronald. Viewing hours will be Friday, February 2nd, 2018, from 4 :00 to 8:00 pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral will be offered Saturday 9:30am at St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Incarnation, 220 Hamburg Turnpike, Pompton Lakes, NJ. The final disposition will be held in private.
