Paul Shenise, age 90, entered into eternal rest, on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Paul was born in West Milford, NJ where he lived for 62 years followed by residency in Brookfield, CT and Fort Pierce, FL and the past three years in Glassboro, NJ.He was predeceased by his loving wife of 37 years, Bert (Bedell), his parents Joseph and Cora (Struble) Shenise and all seven of his siblings. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Smerak and Jane Taggart, his granddaughters, Heather Marmo and husband William, Amanda Ominsky and husband Matthew and Colleen Taggart, two great-grandsons, William Marmo Jr. and Joseph Marmo and several nieces and nephews.Paul served in the Coast Guard during World War II. He worked most of his life as a machinist with the American Hard Rubber Company in Butler where he met future bride.He was a former parishioner and weekly usher at St. Joseph's Church in West Milford and a member of Knights of Columbus Council in Butler. Paul also served as Chief of the Apshawa Volunteer Fire Company.For over twenty years, Paul bowled weekly on a league with friends at Butler Bowl and always had a passion for shooting pool with anyone, anywhere. He enjoyed drinking beer with his brothers and the annual trip to Wildwood with his family. However his greatest joy in life, were the years he spent with his wife Bert, who passed away in 1987.Viewing hours will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 5-8pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. Friends and relatives can arrive 10am for a funeral service on Thursday at 11:00am at The Morrison Funeral Home, with burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Milford, NJ.In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society in his memory.
