Peter F. Sclafani, 90, of Kinnelon, passed away on June 28, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Sclafani. He was the owner of Waterfront Transfer in New York City, was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army and was a member of the Italian American Club in Kinnelon for over 15 years, where he was known as their official Santa Claus. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 loving years, Louise (Montalto), his beloved son, Paul and wife Ellen of Texas, two cherished grandchildren, Dana and Ross, one loving nephew, Jeffrey Lempfert and wife Diane and is also survived by longtime family friends, Stephen and Kathy Gaiser . Viewing hours will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017, from 9 to 11 AM in the Ryan Room at Our Lady of the Magnificat RC Church 2 Miller Rd., Kinnelon, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered 11 AM, also on Saturday following the viewing at Our Lady of the Magnificat RC Church in Kinnelon. Burial will follow the mass in the church cemetery.
