Peter J. Ban of West Milford passed away at 80 years young on Sunday, November 29 2020. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Pete was the son of Oscar and Helen Ban. Pete took over the family run Cleveland Calendar Company and turned it into CMTI, a promotional products and awards company currently based in Lincoln Park, NJ. Pete absolutely loved going to Yankee games (at the original stadium, of course), playing golf, and seeing every Star Wars film on opening day, but he received the most joy from watching his son Matt and daughter Monica perform across the country. His unique brand of humor, though not appropriate for print, made him the star guest at every social gathering. His outgoing personality and natural charm earned him the nickname "the Mayor" from those who knew him and loved him. His smile could light up a room, and everyone who met him, even just once, knew that they had met someone who was truly one-of-a-kind. Pete is survived by his loving wife, Jean of 43 years; his son Matt; daughter Monica; daughter-in-law Erin; his brother Mike; and numerous adoring cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. A mass will be held Friday, December 4 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ 07405 followed by a burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ 07405. Peters Mass can be seen here for those who cant attend at https://youtu.be/eT6gAx-iIpk .
