Ralph L. Hegner, age 91, of Princeton Junction, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Princeton Medical Center, Princeton. Mr. Hegner was born July 10, 1918 in Boston, MA the son of the late Francis G. Hegner and Wilhelmine Lohr Hegner. Ralph resided in Princeton Junction, NJ since 2005 and had been a long time resident of Butler and Pompton Lakes, NJ. Ralph attended Boston English High School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. Had a long career with E.I. DuPont Company, where he developed many technical improvements to their products. When he lived in Butler, Ralph was an active member of the XYZ Club, and could frequently be seen making his daily morning walk from Valley Road to downtown and back. He survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Anne, formerly Anne Pugliese Meisch, his first wife, Kay Stout Bergin, mother of his five beloved children, David and his wife Kathi of South Dennis, MA, Robert and his wife Karen of Amherst, MA, Richard and his wife Cindy of Highland Lakes, NJ, Barbara and her husband Jim Leutz of Rumson, NJ, and Janet of Totowa, NJ, seven cherished children, Debbie Fenton, April, Jessica and Chelsea Hegner, Michael and Daniel Hegner and James Leutz. Also surviving is a loving step son, Art Meisch and his wife Pam of Princeton Junction, NJ and two adored step Grandchildren, Allison Meisch, and Jeff Meisch. Viewing hours will be Thursday, August 27, 2009, from 7pm-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
