Richard B. Foster

Richard B. Foster of Kinnelon, NJ passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 following a brief illness. Richard is survived by his son Bruce, daughter Anne Tardiff, and five grandchildren Jessica Foster, Christopher Foster, Theresa Tardiff, Stephanie Tardiff, and Patrick Tardiff. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Atanesian) Foster. Services will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church, 91 Kinnelon Road, Kinnelon, NJ on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 am. There will be a reception immediately following. Richard will be interred later in the spring in the family plot in Bath, NY. In lieu of flowers, Dad would have preferred that memorial contributions be made to Willing Hands, Inc., St. David's Episcopal Church. Richard will be remembered by his many strong and life-long friends as a gentleman, a mentor, a volunteer, and a man of dignity, pride and integrity. He was a pilot and pioneer contributing significantly to our nation's early space programs. He loved his family, his music, and his community. He and his dry sense of humor will be missed.
