Richard Carl Mugavero

Richard Carl Mugavero passed into Gods loving arms and eternal life on May 3, 2020. He was born on January 28, 1934 in the Bronx, NY to Carla (Beyer) Mugavero and Quarino Mugavero. After graduating from DeWitt Clinton High School he followed many family members into the hair dressing field. He was an excellent stylist but also a wonderful friend and good listener. He delighted many generations with his skill and ready smile, countless people have passed through the doors at Carl's Beauty Salon and most became fast friends. Richard had a unique way of seeing the good and beauty in all who sought out his talent. He worked for 65 years in an atmosphere he loved, "it never feels like work" he would always say. Richard loved many things, music, fishing, boating, antiquing, traveling, the Yankees and his Chianti. Most precious was his love of family and friends. Richard is survived by his loving wife Carolyn, his daughter Lori Loriz (Carl), their son, Zachary (Jocelyn), and daughter, Korinn Loriz. Son, Robert Mugavero (Doreen) their son's Matthew (Kristen) and Kyle Mugavero, granddaughter Lauren, great grandchildren, Gabby, Nadalie, CJ, and Landen, , brother, David Mugavero (Lari Jo), sister and brother in law Jean and Dick Netel, and former wife, Sally Van Dam. Richard was predeceased by his parents, his son, Richard Scott Mugavero, grandson, Richard Steven Mugavero and niece Karen Mugavero. Richard faced his biggest advisory in Alzheimer disease; he fought with dignity and courage and at times a sense of humor. Our family would like to thank the many compassionate caregivers at Llanfair House, for providing good care, friendship and respect. Richard was a gentleman in every sense of the word, A True Gentleman. Due to the corona virus burial will be private with a celebration of life when permitted.
