Richard Frank Boud, age 82 of Bloomingdale, NJ, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 30th, 2022. Rich was born in Orange, NJ, the son of Thomas Boud and Angelina (Morello) Collins. He resided in Bloomingdale, NJ for 60 years. He worked at General Motors in Clark, NJ for 25 years as a Roller Bearing Lineman. He then worked for the Salvation Army at Star Lake Camp in Bloomingdale, NJ. He is predeceased by his wife Ellen (Peters) Boud (2007), his son Richard Louis Boud (2019), and his brother Robert Boud (1995). He is survived by his loving daughters, Elizabeth McMinn and her husband Daniel of Wanaque, NJ, and Judith Accardi and her husband Russell of Ringwood, NJ; his treasured grandchildren, Bethany McMinn, Joshua McMinn and his partner Wytnee Riley, Jessica Accardi, and Andrew Accardi; he was fortunate enough to find love again and is survived by his loving and devoted fianc Sandra Florance. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas Boud of Bloomingdale, NJ and Ralph Boud and his wife Michelina of Palm Cost, FL, along with his nieces and nephews. Rich was a parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church Butler, NJ. Rich was a proud and dedicated member of the Bloomingdale Fire Department serving with Hook & Ladder for 58 years. He worked his way through the ranks and served as Fire Chief and ultimately as a member of the Fire Police. Rich did his best to never miss a fire and was often found volunteering at monthly ziti and beef steak dinners. Rich was known to many and had friends near and far. He loved fishing with friends, coffee at Dunkin Donuts, and driving the streets in Bloomingdale - stopping to say hello to friends and family along the way. He was a regular visitor at local nursing homes and the New Jersey Firemens Home even if he didnt personally know any residents. He was a proud grandfather who would attend as many of the grandchildrens activities as possible. Although he was known to offer financial incentives to grandchildren to avoid attending dance and music recitals. He loved all holidays, especially Halloween. Later in life, he enjoyed attending plays, concerts, dining out, and playing the lottery. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, July 20th, 2022 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Butler, NJ.
