Richard I. Orenge, age 86, of Butler died Thursday, December 30, 2010. He was born in Jersey City, NJ the son of the late Morris and Lydia Orenge. He moved to Butler over forty years ago. He attended Lincoln High School, Jersey City, NJ and graduated from Boston University, Boston, Mass. He was a lieutenant in the United States Navy during World War II serving on the U.S.S. Vincennes in the Pacific and also served in the Korean War. Mr. Orenge was employed as the North American Sales Manager for Phillips 66 Fiber Corp., New York, NY. He loved walking his dogs at Silas Condict Park. Richard was predeceased by his wife Carolyn Sullivan, in 1976. He is survived by his children Gayle Orenge Dettlinger and husband S. James of Manasquan, Kenneth Orenge of Brick and Beth Orenge Burger and husband Thomas of Morris Plains. He has six grandchildren, Christopher, Caroline, Thomas, and Alex Dettlinger and Mark and Darcy Burger. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, January 5th ,2011, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday 11:00am at Our Lady Of Magnificat RC Church, Kinnelon, NJ. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Magnificat Cemetery, also in Kinnelon.
