Richard J. Chikosky

Richard J. Chikosky, age 72, of Butler, formerly of Bloomingdale and Saddle Brook, NJ, died Saturday, March 7, 2015. Mr. Chikosky was the son of the late Andrew and the late Mary Anna (Kacmarcik) Chikosky. Richard was a Stock Room Supervisor for Kearfott in Totowa, NJ, and held many positions at Mosler Systems Division in Wayne, NJ. Richard was a parishioner of St. Anthony RC Church in Butler and a veteran of the Army during peacetime. He was a player in the Metropolitan Hardball League in Bergen County. He also was an avid bowler, softball player, and pinochle player, as well as a soccer coach and served on the Board for B & B United. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 loving years, Mary ( nee Sloan), his beloved children, Keith and his wife Tammy, Frances Havrilla, Stephanie DeNapoli and her husband Francis, Andrew Chikosky and Theresa Chikosky, Jacqueline Maple and husband Andrew and Mary Pearl Chikosky, eight cherished grandchildren, Shane, Tara, Samantha, Kayla, Haley, John Michael, Sophia and Olivia, as well as a brother, Stephen and his wife Janet and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great- nephews. Richard was predeceased by his dear son, Darren Michael. Viewing hours will be Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral mass will be held Friday 11:00 am at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler. Final disposition will be private.
