Richard J. White

Richard J. White, 69, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on July 20, 2017. Richard was born in Passaic, NJ, son of the late Tunis and Naomi White. Richard grew up in Clifton, NJ. He was an avid outdoorsman and a great athlete, quarterbacking the Clifton High School football team. Richard was a Vietnam Navy veteran, discharged after being disabled on the USS Forrestal. He is a current member of the VFW Post in Butler and a lifetime member of the DAV. Richie is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon (Van Orden), of 29 loving years, his beloved daughter, Danielle Stone and husband Andrew, his loving sister, Linda Repine and husband Roger and his cherished grandson, Brandon Stone. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM, at the Morrison funeral home 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler NJ. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery Butler NJ.
