Rita Ann Holmes

Rita Ann Holmes, 100, resident of Cedar Crest Village, formally of Jersey city, NJ, passed away on March 30th 2017. She was born in Jersey City, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Ida Holmes.Rita was adored by her late brothers, Michael, Edward, and John. She was a long-time member of the Sodality of the Children of Mary, St. Teresa, through St. Peters Parish, Jersey City. Rita enjoyed her travels throughout the years with loved ones and graciously donated to many charities throughout her lifetime. She retired from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals of New York in 1984.She is survived by her beloved niece Rita Marion and her husband Craig, 2 grand-nieces, 1 grand-nephew, 4 great grand-nieces, and 3 great grand-nephews. She will be missed and remembered by all.Viewing hours will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the Garden Room in Cedar Crest Village, Pompton Plains, NJ. A mass will be offered at 11:00AM in the Chapel at Cedar Crest Village also on Saturday. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ. Arrangements were entrusted to the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler, NJ.
