Robert (Bob) Boucher, age 89 was born in the Bronx, NY to loving parents, Stephen Richard Boucher and Alice McGowan). He passed away at home on June 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was pre-deceased by his cherished brother and only sibling, Stephen Richard Boucher Jr. Bob joined the Navy at 18 and transferred to the Marines as a Corpsman on the battlefields of the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge from the Navy and received a national defense service medal and commendation by the Secretary of Defense for meritorious work in the blood donor center in Camp Pendleton California. Bob, a man of quick wit and an infectious smile, is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Kathleen (Kay) and his three loving daughters, Allison Jarvis and her husband Edward, Jeannine Soderstrom and her husband Gregg, Claudine Boucher and her late partner Tom Morrissey, and five cherished Grandchildren; Cole, Olivia and Tessa Jarvis and Jason and Jessica Soderstrom. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother in-law Lorraine and Frank OLoughlin, as well as four wonderful nieces, Patricia, Susan, Stephanie and Laura. He retired from Chadwick & Terhune TV and Appliance Store in Midland Park after 30 plus years, where he and his business partner and dear friend, John Schrage were co- proprietors. John preceded him in death several months ago. After living in Bloomingdale, NJ for 38 years, Bob and his wife moved to Powder Mill Condos in Riverdale, NJ. He loved sports, especially the NFL Giants and New York Mets, softball, bowling, gardening, music, movies, theater, entertainment of any kind and most of all, dancing (he could dance a mean Lindy). He adored his family, friends, neighbors, his church and even his doctors. Bob was a devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Butler for the past 55 years, and as well, a devoted member of the Riverdale Seniors shortly after moving here. Visitation will be Tuesday June 7th from 3pm 7pm at Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Avenue Butler, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St Anthony of Padua Church 65 Bartholdi Avenue Butler, NJ, on Wednesday June 8th at 11am. Burial to follow in Christ the King Cemetery Franklin Lakes, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. . There are no gallery images.
