Robert Henry Farro, Sr.

Robert Henry Farro, Sr., age 91 of Butler NJ, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He was born in Montclair, NJ, the son of the late Henry and the late Mary Rose (Morris) Farro.

Robert was a Navy veteran serving in the Korean war from 1951 to 1955, he was an Iron Worker, employed by Ironworkers Local 11, Newark, NJ, a member of the American Legion, 2nd Lieutenant of Pequannock Hose Engine 344, and a parishioner at St. Anthony’s of Padua RC Church in Butler. Robert was a “Jack of all trades,” and a wood carver, he loved skiing and fishing aboard his boat the “CAPTAIN NIMBUS”

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Irene Donovan Farro, adored children, Sandra Atieh and her husband Dennis, Susan McGrath and her husband Peter, Kathleen Lambert and her husband Scott, Robert, Jr. and his wife Susan and Maureen Barker, sister, Marilyn Tromer, 12 beloved grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, with one on the way. Robert was predeceased by his brothers Louis, Henry and Billy and sister Jean.

Memorial visitation will be, Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral mass will be offered Wednesday, November 22, 2023, 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler.
