Robert Neil Wyble

Robert Neil Wyble, 74, of Bloomingdale, NJ passed away on July 15, 2017 after a long illness. Bob was a lifelong resident of Bloomingdale. He is preceded in death by his parents, (Robert) Neil Wyble and Eleanor (Rhinesmith) and his brother, Ernest. Bob attended St. Anthonys Parochial School and was a graduate of Butler High School. In his youth Bob was an avid baseball player, he was a lifelong Dodgers fan and enjoyed fishing and hiking. Later on, his interests switched to gardening, long rides in the country, going out for ice cream and vacationing with his family, especially at his country cabin and property in rural Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed planting trees. He always worked very hard to support his family of nine children. Over the years he served his community as a police officer and volunteer firefighter in Bloomingdale and also managed a steel company and worked for Passaic County. He was a devout Catholic and Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 943 of Butler, NJ. Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra Ann (Macklem), his children Robert Wyble III, Sherri (Albrecht), Mary (Wingate), Lynn (Hutman), Lorraine, David, Sandra (Rojas), Jeremy and Michael, as well as 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday July 19th from 6 to 9pm at Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 am on July 20th at the funeral home, followed by a mass at 10:00 am at St. Anthonys Church in Butler. Donations to St. Anthonys Church or Catholic Relief Services (www.crs.org) in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
