Robert P. Inglis, age 92, of Kinnelon Heights, formerly of Bloomingdale, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. Mr. Inglis was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Robert P.,Sr, and the late Helen (Kennedy) Inglis. He served in the Navy with the See Bees, from 1943 to 1945 during World War II . He was employed as a machinist for Morrison Machine Co. in Paterson, was an avid golfer, played a round of golf at St. Andrew's Golf Course in Scotland, founded a men's baseball league in Clifton, NJ during the 1930's and loved to bowl in the Butler Bowling Leagues. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Claudia Inglis, his companion of 25 years Virginia Larry, a loving daughter in law, Dawn Inglis, a dear brother, William Inglis and his wife Gloria, three cherished grandchildren, Sean and Hope Inglis and Ryan Lago,and is also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Robert was pre deceased by his son, Robert P. Inglis. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, February 27th, 2013, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity in his memory.
