Robert W. Laird Jr.

LAIRD- Robert W. , Jr. of Eastham, MA, age 75, died at his home Sat. Feb. 14,2009. He is the husband of the late Patricia (Clinton) Laird.Mr. Laird was born in NY, NY , raised and educated in New Jersey. He was a long time resident of Bloomingdale NJ. before retiring to Eastham in the mid 1980's.He is a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. For over 5Oyrs he worked as an iron worker for Local Union #45 Hackensack NJ.After his retirement he went to work in various capacities at Nickerson's Service Station in Eastham. Mr. Laird was a member of the Orleans-Eastham BPOE # 2572 and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his children, Dawn P. Cahill of Eastham, Robert P. Laird of Elizabethtown PA., Regina Marcano of Highland Lakes NJ, grandchildren, Bernadette Lattig, Crystal Cahill, Larry Rock, Melonie Marcano , great grandchildren Jackie, Katie, and Lorien. A memorial visitation will be held at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ, Friday, February 20 ,2009, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A memorial service will be held at 8:00pm on Friday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Special Olympics of NJ 3 Princess Rd.
