Robert William Lenthe, 86, passed away on on December 16, 2016. He was born in Hoboken to the late Edward H. and Margaret (McManus) Lenthe. Robert "Bob" grew up in Riverdale, graduated from Butler High School and received a BA in Accounting & Finance from Rutgers University. He worked in Manhattan for more than 50 years, for Marx Toy Company and then as a private accountant for Louis Marx Jr. During the Korean War he proudly served our country as a US Marine. Bob was predeceased by his beautiful, loving wife of 65 years Rita (Fredericks) Lenthe, and his best-friend and brother Edward Lenthe. He is survived by his beloved children, Carol Pinto and husband John, Marie Tomasheski and husband Charles, Jean Chamberlain and husband Bruce, Robert Jr. and wife Penny and James and wife Christine; his 12 cherished grandchildren and his seven adored great-grandchildren. Bobs greatest joy in life was spending time with his family at his Butler home as well as his home on Lake Wallenpaupack. He was a sports enthusiast and a die-hard NY Giants and Yankees fan. He will be remembered for his integrity, generosity, and humanity. A viewing will be held Monday, December 19, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday, 10 AM at St. Anthony's RC Church in Butler. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Roberts memory can be sent to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, 34 Washington St., Suite 200, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481 as a tribute to his wife Rita.
