Roberta Hunt passed away in Pompton Plains, NJ, on January 5th 2011 at the age of 87. She was the daughter of Clara (Kluft) Hunt and Herbert H Hunt, sister of Georgianna Hunt and Emily (Hunt) Colfax. She is survived by nieces Barbara (Colfax) Talasco and Mary (Colfax) Ackerson, as well as six great nieces and nephews and 7 great, great nieces and nephews. With the exception of the past two years, she resided her entire life in the house where she was born on Kiel Avenue. She was a graduate of St Anthony's School in Butler and Butler High School. She was employed for most of her career at Pequannock Rubber Co./ American Hard Rubber Co/ Amerace Corp. until that business closed its Butler office in 1982; and then for several years at Michael Raiser Associates in Wayne. She was active in the community as a Girl Scout Leader, a communicant at St Anthony's Parish, member of the Rosary Altar Society, and the Butler Senior XYZ club. She was also a member the Board of Directors of the Butler Museum since it's inception, where she volunteered for many years. Visiting hours will be Sunday, January 9th , 2011, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8PM at The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10am Monday at St Anthony's RC Church, Butler. Interment to follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
