Roger G. Van Ness

Roger G. Van Ness, age 83, of Kinnelon, NJ, formerly of North Arlington, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Mr. Van Ness was born in Totowa as the son of the late Roger and the late Alida (Veenstra) Van Ness. He worked as an Instrument Assembler for Singer Kearfott in West Paterson and was a Veteran of the US Navy. Roger loved being outdoors, playing sports, helping neighbors and friends and especially enjoyed being at home and with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Barbara (Tino) Van Ness, his beloved children Lanore Mc Donagh and husband Dennis, Valerie DePalma and husband Paul; a loving sister, Henrietta Black; five cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Sean Mc Donagh, Larissa Maurer and husband Brian Dixon, Danielle and Anthony De Palma and great-granddaughter Kylie Rose Dixon. Viewing hours will be Friday, November 20, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will also be held at 7:30pm on Friday.
