Ronnie Andrew Speidel

Ronnie (Ron) Andrew Speidel unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 in Haymarket, VA, at the age of 44.Ron is survived by his mother, Janice Maloney Sonne; his two brothers, Rich & Nick and his nephew, Colson Patrick Speidel. Ron was born on October 1st, 1977 in Livingston, NJ at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Ron graduated from Butler High School in Butler, NJ and was a member of the soccer team. He went on to earn an undergraduate degree from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. After completing college, Ron served as one of the head waiters at the Old Homestead, which is recognized as the oldest steakhouse in NYC. Most recently, Ron has worked as the Sr Project Manager for St Josephs Roofing in VA. Ron was an avid Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders (NFL) and New York Yankees (MLB) fan. Ron enjoyed playing and watching sports, being outdoors, music, his NFL boxes, bowling, and the occasional casino trip. Ron was a gentle, kind, generous soul with an infectious smile. He had the ability to make anyone laugh. It was literally impossible to either be mad or stay mad at Ron. He had that innate ability to diffuse any situation. Because of this, he was loved by so many people.In his youth, Ron had many nicknames, such as "Generous Ron", "Dean", "Spoon Dean"... but the one nickname that permanently stuck was "Spoon". "A brother like you is so rare, one that is generous and kind. A son like you is what everyone needs; full of smiles and laughter, always helping others. Nothing can replace what we have lost, but when you get to Heaven, they will be lucky to have you" There will never be another like you! We love & miss you!
