Serafina Maciag

Serafina Maciag, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Serafina was born in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Ernesto and Elena (Basti) Mancini. She moved from Ohio to Garfield, N. J. and made it her home for 31 years, then moving to Hamburg, NJ for 34 years and then to Ogdensburg, N.J. Before retiring she worked as an Accounts Manager, for County Trust in Garfield, NJ. Serafina is survived by her loving daughters, Diane Mercer and her husband Bill of Hamburg, Lisa Maciag and her companion Joseph Perrino of Stirling, and Kathy Babinski and her husband Robert of Ogdensburg. Also surviving are three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Serafina was predeceased by her husband Joseph, and her sons, Gary and Mark. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 9:00 am-10:30 am at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered also on Friday, 11:00 am at St. Anthonys RC Church, 63 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. Burial will immediately follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Garfield, NJ.
