Sharon Lynn Vitale

August 7, 1961 — September 5, 2021

On September 5th, 2021, Sharon Lynn Vitale, 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 7th, 1961 to Sally (Bellanca) Guskind and Jack Guskind and raised in Clifton, NJ with the help of her cherished grandparents, Vincenzo and Anna Maria Bellanca. She graduated from Montclair State University and while attending, she met her best friend Christopher Vitale in 1981. They spent 40 wonderful years together. Chris & Sharon were pretty inseparable, always going on adventures together. Whether it was having dinner in New York City, day trips to flea markets and bookstores, or just quiet nights at home listening to her many CDs, they were endlessly devoted to each other. They moved to Butler, NJ after getting married in 1989 and started raising a family there: their son Travis was born in December 1990, their son Eric was born in March 1993, and their daughter Shawna was born in August 1994. Their household was constantly filled with love and laughter even in the midst of adversity. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband Christopher, her three adored children Travis, Eric, and Shawna and her husband Joseph Crupi. Also surviving is her half-sister Gia Guskind, brothers-in-law Neil and his wife Lynn, Joe and his wife Susan, and Craig Vitale, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother Sally Guskind (1936-2020), her brother Robert Guskind (1958-2009), and her father Jack Guskind (1933-1990). A private memorial service will be held at a later date with an internment at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson, NJ to reunite with her grandparents. .
