Stefan Ponomarev

Stefan Ponomarev, 97, of Butler passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2017. Stefan was born in Gorki, Russia to the late Andre and late Aquilina. Stefan was a roofer and sider by trade. He is survived by his loving children Patricia Ponomarev, Stefan J. Ponomarev and life partner Regina Post, Raymond Ponomarev and his wife Catherine, and Katja Mueller and her husband Hartmut of Germany. Stefan is also survived by his three grandchildren, Nicholas and Tyler Ponomarev and Thomas Mueller of Germany. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary, and step-son, Charles Costa. We would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses, and Aides at Bloomingdale Health Center, and Judy and Geraldine of Hospice Compassionate Care of Clifton for caring for Stefan. You are all his "Honey Bunny". Viewing hours will be Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 8:00AM-10:30AM at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, also at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
