Stephen Joseph Ford, beloved Son, Brother, Nephew, and Uncle, passed away on Thursday December 17 at home in Kinnelon. Stephen was born July 24, 1959 in Belleville, NJ, and graduated from DePaul High School in Wayne NJ in 1977. Upon graduation, he served in the US Navy as an Electricians Mate, where he was stationed in Orlando, FL, Idaho Falls, ID, Great Lakes, Illinois, and Norfolk, VA. He served on board the USS Stump and El Paso. He most recently resided in Jersey City, NJ and was employed by the Jersey City Board of Education as an Electrician for the Jersey City Public School System for 25 years before retirement. Stephen was an accomplished guitar player and also enjoyed windsurfing. Stephen is survived by his Parents, Sonia(nee Cajar) and Mason Ford of Kinnelon; Sisters Betsy Ford(Ernesto Herrero) of Webster, New Hampshire and Sandra Knuth(Mark) of Clancy, Montana; Brother Roger Ford(Patricia) of Bound Brook, NJ. Stephen will also be remembered by his 2 Nieces, Noelle Ford Ballou (Shawn) and Julia Ford and Nephew Kevin Ford. Visitation will be held Tuesday December 22 in The Ryan Room at Our Lady of the Magnificat in Kinnelon, NJ from 5-9pm. Mass will be held in the Chapel Wednesday December 23 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Magnificat. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Morrison Funeral Home, Butler, NJ.
